One approach is to tell a story - about you or about somebody else, or some imagined character. You can write your feelings, you can protest a wrong or celebrate something good. You can write about chocolate, or concrete, or your old dog or anything you want to say.....?!!

If you can, get ahold of the latest Beatles documentary "Get Back" and watch how Paul McCartney and John Lennon wrote a song. There's so much trial and error. Even if they don't have lyrics, they substitute other words until they find something that rhymes/makes sense/fits the space.

Write down the words "karma chameleon" and then follow your heart

Either go creative and free flow it and make notes. I mean just sing your ideas as you play the song, make notes after

Or go full blown structure and poem it, write notes with patience and take your time

Verse ideas: Think of a turn of phrase or two that seem very cool to you, and make sure the first verse has one and the second verse has one, if you can.

Chorus ideas: Think of something repetitive to carry you through the chorus. Absolutely no need to be witty here.
