Better than the brutalist nightmare it is now. I work in the med school. They been talking about this forever, don’t hold your breath

In my limited experience of the hospital, it’s not bad as brutalist buildings go, but it’s an embarrassment for this prominent teaching hospital in one of the richest states in the country to look as it does. It seems like all the money goes to New Brunswick.

Oh it definitely goes to New Brunswick, even the school cares about Rutgers New Brunswick more than it’s Newark location

Theyre trying to merge the medical schools now. Unclear what that would mean for us here.

It means it all gets moved to New Brunswick eventually. The design literally sucks. They should restore the original Street grid and do away with the super block north of the hospital.....where the 50 year old "temporary" buildings stand

NJ only has kne public hospital, its in Newark. UMDNJ is literally used as practice for their med students.
