Because you do. Newark used to be affordable but as it continues to become a bedroom community for NYC transplants we’re all getting priced out

I don’t have an apartment …been back and forth with brother and mom.. I make a good hourly rate but only makes 30 hours weekly .. i get child support taking out biweekly which kills Me on top of taxes already taking like $600 smh I have a son and daughter so finding a 2/3bedroom Apt for under a $1000 is never happening.. I need subsidiary low income in Newark near work and atleast a two bedroom because my two kids stay with me 60 percent of the time so if anyone can help by sending a link to apply for subsidies units or any info thank you

You should give the city a call and see what advice they have: https://www.newarknj.gov/departments/affordable-housing
