Sounds like an excellent program, with an outside the box strategy

I don't know, I browsed the the guys instagram the other day and I saw some stuff defending Kanye and that type of thing. He locked his account now. His facebook is up and its got some classic covid misinformation and conspiracy level stuff. I wouldn't want this guy indoctrinating my kids in his free time.

Damn. I just saw the empowerment aspect and jumped the gun. It's a shame so much of this conversation is convoluted and intertwined these days. Tacit racism and misinformation is ok if it comes under the guise of different things than traditional right wing tropes.

Yeah its a shame. After they made that deal with a made up country I'm more skeptical than I was before. Black empowerment and teaching people history is a good thing, but easy to fall down the path of ignoring reality. Programs like the Black Panthers used to do feeding kids breakfast and that kind of thing has more positive impact I think. This city has a history of people taking advantage of people's situation and their position of power, and I guess its not gone away.
