It’s Saturday night and I’m still mindlessly applying to jobs. I was recently laid off unexpectedly from a startup. One of the issues with a startup is the unpredictability. I should of saw the signs tbh.

I was hired top of year so I wasn’t fully out of financial hole from over a year without a FT job.

Anyways I’m starting to feel the pressure and probably won’t make rent next month.

A Little About Me:

31 year old who is finally done trying to “climb corporate ladder”. I spent 8 years in construction/real estate as a project manager.

I would like to finally work on my animation/design career but I need time to build a portfolio

In the meantime I need a long term gig type job. Open to any work.

Any resources or places I can go? Open to anything paying atleast $20/HR

Appreciate any feedback or assistance ❤️ and if anybody wants to see a formal resume I can share in pm.

Schools are DESPERATE for workers of all kinds.

I'm not kidding either. You can get a job as a teacher without a certification in a charter school. The only question is do you actually want to do it.

I live around a few charter schools. So no paraprofessional certificate needed?

Absolutely interested. I would be open to a teachers assistant or big brother type of program

You think they would appreciate a walk in introduction? I really don’t see these charter schools going through resumes lol

lol go through the proper channels, but you can expect a reasonable turnaround time. Good luck applying and even more if you get hired!

Not the one I work at. TBH they're all struggling in their own ways, so everyone is going to have some kind of egregious problem.

New Jersey Courts is hiring. Some salaried positions and some hourly. Mostly administrative jobs. Only drawback is that it is a slow hiring process.
