Maybe everyone here should email them and tell them we want safe roads for pedestrians and not a speedway for suburbanites.

Good luck. I had to call him once for my job (so this was a 100% professional call requesting some files) and he was the biggest asshole I've ever had to deal with in my life.
The convo was basically:
Me: "Hi, I'm X from X and we're working with (city in Essex County). Could you please send us (files) for this project"
Him: "Why the fuck do you need that, thats our road"
Me: "Well this project is on the corner of that inter-"
Him: "I dont fucking care"
He's worked there for over 20 years.
