Hello guys, am interested to visit Branch Brook Park to see the cherry blossom trees, and I noticed that the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom in some areas. Am wondering when is the peak; the best week to see it. Am assuming is from mid to late April? Or from early to mid April? And when is too late? I don't want to visit too early either; it is worth the wait to see it in its peak. I have been googling these questions and I can't find anything. Thanks so much in advance.

I'd say the next week or two should be good.

This twitter account posts updates every day or so with how Cherry Blossoms look when they're in season. I believe the Cherry Blossom welcome center in the park has "meter" outside show the state of the bloom.

It varies every year, based on the temps of winter. This year, bloom started pretty early. They’re anticipating peak bloom April 1-6 this year. But going through the park, many of the trees that have bloomed have lost their buds with the nor’easter we had a week or so ago.

There’s construction going on at the cherry blossom center and parking this year is limited. This weekend, parts of the park roads will be closed for a bike race Saturday and a road race Sunday.

Next weekend should be peak — April 8-9. Most are still budding now although some of the earliest are in bloom.
