I am not from the area so I don't really know what places are safe and considered decent. Everyone has nice pictures but they can be deceiving

I’m not sure where you’re moving from but if possible it’s always recommended to go see a place in person before putting money down.

That being said if you can’t, anywhere in the north ward or Ironbound is your best bet if you’re worried about safety. Downtown isn’t too bad either but shit happens once in a while.

is north ward where the addison is? I am sorry I searched on google maps north ward and I got the intersection between 2nd avenue and mt prospect avenue

I am coming from out of state and I wont have any place to live so I will need to buy sight unseen so I have a place to stay

I can send you pictures of the neighborhood around Addison when I get a chance if need be. But it’s genuinely a safe place as far as Newark goes. Which is to say, things can still happen, but you don’t need to be as worried as you would be living in the South Ward.

It seems to be well-connected to public transport and seems to be good bang for the buck. I'll try to get one in the upper floors
