It definitely has some great diverse architecture. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out the basilica of the sacred heart yet that’s probably my favorite building in the state

Is it by the branch brook park? Btw how do you like the park? I’m fairly new and haven’t gotten a chance to visit that part of the city!

Brnach Brook is one of Newarks best hidden gem. It’s incredible well maintained and in the spring theres tons of Cherry Blossom. Definitely check out the festival in spring

Branch Brook park is beautiful year-round. And yes, the cathedral is right next to the southernmost tip of Branch Brook.

Yup it’s right over by branch brook park! And I like it. It’s a really nice place to spend an afternoon outside. Only thing I would change is to not allow cars to drive through it lol

The Neighborhood is called Forest Hill and it borders the park to the East ,north of 2nd to MT Prospect and up to the Belleville Border. There are also pockets of the Oranges with really nice architecture which is often overlooked. I've walked all 4 Oranges this past year...usually in chunks of 5-7 miles per trip..
