I think you might've taken this response too seriously. It's a reference to Barcade closing its doors earlier this year.

Not that the closure wasn't tragic, but if arcade games have the potential to be a draw, then combining that with a bar may no longer have staying power.

I bet an arcade on Halsey St would be packed with underage college kids every night though.
