This looks great, although I also liked the former design. Lots of activity on Washington St: Urby, Halo, 303 Washington, Museum Parc... The pace is exciting. Now we need condos. If I'm going to stay downtown and continue to call it home, purchasing is the only way cause I'm being priced out of the rental market after 9 years living downtown and most of my life living in Newark. My rent has gone up 66% in the past 9 years with no signs of slowing down. Displacement is real.

When I posted this earlier it got straight buried lol. Glad it's back on the forefront.

I will always prefer taller, but I do have to say I like this design. There's just a handful of blocks downtown that if they were redeveloped it'd be almost a night/day difference.

It sucks about the increase in rent scroll but glad you're staying put!

Isn’t there a freeze on rent increases imposed by the city?

The article says that Arc Tower is having trouble getting approved due to it being in a historical area // needing to demolish something historical.

All I know is that the perceived value of historical areas is exaggerated. I'd rather give the next generation a booming economy rather than performative nimbyism.

Looks meh but it's better than nothing. Cool that you wanna stay put Scroll but condos are gonna be tough; more people like yourself need incentive to buy in the city.

The RBH Group are bad neighbors. They let a building collapse on Beaver Street that could have killed someone if they had been on the street at the time. Ron Beit is a pig who pretends to care about Newark but buys up old buildings and allows them to collapse.

Thanks. Location's perfect. I live within a block of it and actually park at that Icon parking. Hoping something more modern and bright gets built in the next couple years. Renaissance towers looks so outdated every time I visit friends there.

It looks better than the previous design and the same size as the previous design so hopefully this time they get going and do it. It holds the street wall and wraps the corner very well.
