Any recommendations for orgs. that handle donation pickup? Soooo many items to donate (never worn/slightly worn clothes, toys, books); soooo little time/energy to rent a truck and take the items someplace…

It’s several bins full and finding a pickup service has been impossible (due to, still in-place, COVID discontinuance of donation pickups).

Help!

The Lupus charity will come to your house. https://www.lupus.org/ways-to-give/donate-household-goods

But they will also take your Amazon package if it’s all out in the same place. 😖 Had to call them and by some miracle they found it and were able to return it.

I just checked their website with my own zip code (Forest Hill) and it said "We currently service 07104, however we have no scheduled pickup dates at this time. Please check back later, call 888-445-8787, or there are other ways to give to help support Lupus Foundation of America."

How recent was the pickup you mentioned?

I think November? Maybe October. So not that long ago. I do recall my wife called and we had to wait a week or two. Maybe wait till after the new year and ask again.

Yeah, no drivers available in the area, with no known availability in the future. Would like to donate this week. Thanks anyway.

Assuming you checked Salvation Army and Goodwill? How about Catholic Charities?

Yeah, no luck with SA or Goodwill…checked Catholic Charities website and didn’t see an option to donate clothing (only monetary, gifts of stock, and the like). I did leave a voicemail message for the NWK chapter. Will see what happens and report back.

Thx!
