Well here's a chance for us old timers to get millions of YouTube clicks and maybe start a new TikTok challenge that goes viral. The videos will probably get yanked for being deemed too dangerous. Then again we could put a Jackass type of disclaimer that says we're professionals and don't try this at home. lol

But yeah, you're right. This is a tremendous opportunity for social media fame. I wonder if my buddy can still get into that position without hurting himself

Did he give reasons why not? Access to lighters perhaps isn't common anymore with anti-smoking laws.

In answer to your first question, no, he wouldn't tell me. I even offered some possible answers, to which he would neiher confirm nor deny.

Anyways, your point about lighters not being as accessible is a really strong possibility as to why it's not done anymore. On the other hand, I provided only one example from one kid—which isn't exactly representative of the entire generation. Maybe it is still being done, but nobody talks about it?

Strictly entre-nous: I demonstrated it for my Chinese wife about eight years ago, and she was speechless. To this day, could not confirm if it was a positive or negative response. When your son says "nobody" it implies negative, and we need to work on that.
