Hate to say it, but I don't think it's Twain. Look at pictures of Twain and this guy, and compare the ears. Twain has attached ear lobes, this guy has unattached. Striking similarity, though.

Also, in the early 1900s, Twain was getting on a bit (He died 1910). I feel like a lot of the photos from this time show him looking a good bit older than this guy. The photo could easily be from earlier, but something about the hairstyle/head shape just doesn’t line up to older Mark Twain.

Also the browes are different, twain has hevyer brows and more deep sett eyes, but at first look you could be fooled.
