The look of: I love my baby but this is miserable.

My third child had colic and it made me stop having babies lol

Mine came out in my bedroom floor. That was enough for my wife and I to be done.

There's a lovely short Irish poem about this. Here's the translation...

Jam

There was jam

On the door handle

But I quenched the anger

That rose in me

Because I thought of the day

That the door handle would be clean

And the little hand

Would be gone

Hahaha, my wife does, yes. I don't want anymore, she's already planning another for next year. No woman!

Edit: the bastards are adorable though, I'll give them that.

I remember packing my wife's overnight bag for our first kid. I asked my wife if she wanted any makeup and her reply was, "No. I want people to know what a women truly looks like after she shit's out a kid".

Probably what my mom looked like when I was born in 1978. She always let it be known I took over a month longer than expected to come out. Due in June/July but born on August 12th. Middle of summer with temps near/at/over 100.

There's also the story of when I was a baby in the hospital with pneumonia and I fell/climbed out of my hospital crib thing into a garbage can.

I always thank my mom on my birthday. She had major abdominal surgery to birth me.

As a mom to a 10 month old, who will be 1 soon, I don’t want the day of his birth and the celebration to honor me or be about me at all.

I had a difficult pregnancy; I had cholestasis, carpal tunnel, and I had bad tendinitis. I went through 37 1/2 hours of induced labor and felt all of it the last 10 hours and had to have an emergency c section to save my precious boy. I nearly died from an infection I got as well… But I would do it again and again, the entire pregnancy, the labor, everything to have the same outcome I do now! I don’t expect any praise or honor because I chose him and I chose to carry him and birth him into this world. He doesn’t owe me anything, but I owe him everything and I will give him all of me and all of my love and ensure he is nourished always! 💙

Man my first night was rough. Little guy was up all night. He wasn’t crying most the time, but he did not want to sleep. At all. They moved us to three different rooms before settling in a vacant room that we had paid for, for the privacy. I’ll never forget the plastic chair I sat on. My back is in permanent pain because of that chair. We also had a nest of baby spiders in the room we received. Reported it but the nurses or staff didn’t really care. Seems like it was a normal thing to them so it wasn’t an urgent matter.
