Same year. We had the first girl on my little league team. She was the best player on the field. I still remember her name.

This wife is a wonderful inspiration!! My daughter started in a mostly boys baseball league and needed better compitition so she joined a girls fastpitch softball league which ultimately led to her being recruited and getting a 4 year scholarship to a Div 1 University...she now is a Div1Womans Softball Coach 😊👍

She played association softball for a few years when she was younger in the 90s, but the way it's structured with A and B teams, if you're not really good, you won't have a good time.

Just two years after girls were allowed to join... My wife back in 1976 when she was about 12 years old. Her and another girl signed up as the only two girls in the Washington D.C. Little League. Her friend quit after the first week but my wife stayed the whole season, despite all the animosity.
