Every year we hover around 86 for a couple of weeks. The months either side of that are in the high 70s. Summer in southern Manitoba is delightful!

July can be hot, humid and buggy but August is usually the best month of the year! It’s also the month when the crops begin coming off the fields. Nothing better than farm fresh Manitoba produce!

Except for the Captain Canuck shirt, that could be literally anywhere in North America in the 70s! My mom (who lived in Indiana/Kentucky at the time) had a picture with her friends that looked very similar to that…

What stands out to me is that, nowadays, there would be zero little kids in that picture. Among everyone I know who’s about my age, I know exactly one person with kids…
