Not sure what kind of car it is -- might be a Ford? (If you know, please reply!)

I posted another picture of her a few months before she got married, if you want a comparison. (No, I'm not offended!)

Cute. My grandparents also had a big height difference (g’ma was 5’1" and g’pa was 6’4").

My mom (seen here) grew up to be 5'8" tall

Her daddy, seen here, was 6'3 .

Her mom (my grandma, not in photo) was short (5'2" in heels or thereabouts)

Sorry, I misread. I saw the height difference and my mind went to what I mentioned above.

What were their ages in this photo? I assume she’s maybe 14? Younger? It’s so hard to tell in older photos, because people back then just tend to look older than they were. Same is true of pictures of my mom when she was young.

My mom was born in 1949 and adopted by my grandparents ~2 weeks thereafter. This photo dates from the later part of the 1950s as best as I can tell, based on dated pictures of my Mom. Her dad was a WWII vet, aviator, and lineman for both electric & phone companies before opening a body shop; he also helped build the first 4 houses on their block after the land owner parceled out his land into plots to build on, and did all of their electrical, plumbing and heating; both my grandparents lived in the same house that he built until they passed away in 1986 and 2003.

Grandpa was born in 1915 and Grandma in 1916.

It is indeed a ‘56 Ford Fairlane. But not a sun liner or crown vic. Sunliner was a convertible, and the crown victoria had wide, chrome trim across the roof, that would be visible would be visible in this photo.
