That was his sister and her family he wasn’t there when it happened, but don’t worry my other grandpa was notorious for finding every best excuse to skip the war, and he did, I’m not brave at all, I guess I got his blood, but he loved me very much and took great care of me until he was alive, this one in the picture from my mother side I never met, but he was said to be an immense person, crazy strict, and industrious

Finding every excuse for skipping war is just as brave and a lot more moral than dressing up in a costume and killing foreigners for the rich.
