Nice, yeah I figured that might be it by the ridges on the wing, but didn't know there was a side by side cockpit

It was apparently a bit of a pig to fly. Interestingly even though it was a trainer it was kept fully combat capable (other than the loss of their Hughes fire control system) and at least a couple were used in combat roles in Vietnam.

They were apparently test pilots at some point early on. The colors were different. My Grandpa went on to be a fighter pilot and I believe my Great Uncle flew bombers.
