Oh man, as a pre-teen in the mid-60s all I wanted to do was run away from home to live on a California beach and surf and party with those bikini babes! Annette Funicello, where are you?

Why are you calling this girl a woman? That is clearly a child, not an adult.
goldbird54 t1_iwppj48 wrote
Because if OP put “girl”, someone would accuse OP of toxic masculinity. Besides, the model is obviously past the age of physical maturity so it’s a pointless and stupid argument from either direction.
ThoraciusAppotite t1_iwvci1z wrote
What's toxic is referring to 14-year-old girls as women "past the age of physical maturity" while you'd obviously just call a 14-year-old boy a boy.
goldbird54 t1_iwvmwq2 wrote
Your entire argument is based on 2 assumptions: that she is 14 and that I would use the word “boy” to describe a 14-year old male. The female pictured looks 16 to me but I’m sure you’ll dismiss that because it doesn’t fit your narrative. And I refer to males that have reach puberty but have not yet attained the mental and emotional maturity to be labeled a “man” as “kids”, not boys. I rarely use “boy” to describe anyone older than a toddler.
Also, you clearly missed the point of my previous comment and took it personally, thereby becoming defensive. The point being that unnecessarily questioned the OP’s word choice but had the OP chosen the way you suggested, someone else would attack that choice. The whole thing is pointless and unnecessary.
