I wonder if my old YZ80 is still alive somewhere. Sudden wave of massive nostalgia.

You don’t have it anymore?

Nah. Was decades ago. It went to my little cousin.

Maybe it went down the family tree somewhere?

My father sold all of ours when we had out grown them. I have got an '89 KX80 we restored together, which the kids aren't allowed to ride.

Nice. I had an 86 KX80 then a 91 KX80. The 89 was the model before the wacky 90s graphics came out!

A 2-stroke race bike is fun at any age. My RM100 still thrills me at 185lbs.

I’ve got a 200lb friend who restored his 87 KX80 and has a ball on it.

All great bikes back in their day. I’m trying to source some 92 rm80 parts to do a resto. Buddy of mine he’s a few years older then me has done a great job of finding some very clean late 80’s 80cc bikes. He found very clean 89 cr80r /yz80/rm80 and currently looking for an clean 87-89 kx80.
