Thank you! This was the first of many many conventions. Good times

I'm jealous. Either they didn't have many here (UK), or I lived under a rock.

Aww that's too bad. I really enjoyed going to the Atlanta Fantasy Fair and Dragon Con through the years. I have not been in some time but I do hope that I will find one close to me soon that has things I'm interested in.

Sounds great. I'm a little too old to get as enthused as I once might, and I have oodles of other things clamouring for my attention during the non-working hours.

I'll have to enjoy them by proxy. So please, attend more and post.

'87?

Bad time for Doctor Who, but Star Trek was on the rise again. Then the opposite happened in 2005.

Anyway, must've been some truly dedicated nerds there to have a TARDIS out and about in '87.

You are right it was a bleak time for Whoovians. There were no DW events. Although I was a HUGE DW fan I went for the Star Wars events and I was walking through the convention center and there was the TARDIS... Just randomly stuck in a corner. It was as if it had just materialized....

Here is the one I had built in my previous home. This photo was taken when my late daughter and I were going to the 50th anniversary premiere dressed as River song and Amy pond.

sadly it was locked. But I made up for it. Years later I had one built in my house.

And the best Dr Who is...? ( The correct answer here is Tom Baker)

Lol. Well in 1987 the girl in the photo would have said Tom Baker, now I say Tennant.
