I hope it didn’t have a negative effect on your young life. My post divorce issues have really screwed up my daughter. I’m thankful she has a great husband.

I had my daughter every weekend until her drug abusing mother and I had a final blow out fight post divorce. I didn’t see my little lady for 18 1/2 years. Now we live an hour apart, I have four grandchildren and our relationship is good except that her mother drives her crazy (still abusing drugs) and I get the fallout. My hope is you aren’t dealing with any fallout.

My parents ended up co-parenting very well together, fortunately. After many years they got along really well together too. I suspect my dad never stopped loving her, but it was a complicated situation.

Once when I was in my 20s they were drinking together and I overheard them talking about how proud they both were of me and my sister.
