Not talking about masking, but public school attendance requires vaccines, and many jobs here do as well.

Well, schools don't mandate in Pennsylvania, they have a list, and it doesn't include covid. And I'm sorry if you have a job like that, there have been multiple supreme court rulings in different states saying that's unconstitutional to require vaccinations

I'm not only talking about the COVID vaccine either. I was nearly suspended from public middle school in 2002 because my mom forgot to submit proof of my chicken pox vaccine.

I have my COVID vaccine and booster so it doesn't faze me if employers require it to enter the premises. I am merely commenting on the amount of job listings I saw last time I was job hunting that required the COVID vaccine among other things.

Boyfriend is teaching at a private school and they required his vaccination records as well.

I'm not sure what you're trying to convince me. I have gotten every vaccine available to me, and I'm perfectly fine.

Interesting point. Would most Amish agree to take a Covid test or visit a modern doctor if they were sick though?

My impression was they prefer to rely on prayer and home remedies over modern medicine. If so, its unlikely all their cases got reported.

I'm a bit skeptical, but maybe there's something to it. The Amish are a rather insular community. I wouldn't be surprised if they had differences in immune system from the average American because of their tendency to marry inside their community, keep livestock, and rely less on modern healthcare.

Studies have shown there are immune system related drawbacks to living in a largely sterile environment without frequent exposure to animals. Higher risk of allergies for example. There are other coronaviruses which pre-date Covid too. Maybe that lifestyle is just more likely to lead to similar exposures and natural immunity.

Interesting, I have not gotten covid, or gotten the shots or boosters. I been acting like it's any other day and never got sick, only people I know that got sick got sick, multiple times, after they got the vaccine. I still haven't gotten it.

To each their own, but no, PA still has its religious exemption for vaccination in schools, no questions asked, no one really bothers about it from the districts I've been in
