When I was 19 I attempted suicide and was found bleeding out in a bath tub. I ended up in-patient for several months. It was a long road to recovery, and there were times I thought and believed "if only X was different this wouldn't have happened" but the reality is, while there were external pressures it was an internal struggle made up of many factors. Suicidal depression is not single faceted, and while you may contribute the lack of Pride Flags in your school classroom, it isn't why you almost killed yourself.
