I usually arrive at least an hour early, take my time getting back to our vehicle. Never really had a problem honestly

ALSO YMMV: I normally enter under the Ridge Road bridge from the Hershey side and while there are certainly backups really never have a problem. I don't use the main HersheyPark Drive at all.
