I can hear the concerts a few miles away. The parking and traffic are horrendous.

Acoustics are very good. I have seen many concerts there. Traffic stinks. We usually just wait it out.

It would be a long walk or a long wait either way.

Enjoy Blink if that’s the show you’re considering braving the parking for!

Plan on hanging out for an hour+ after the concert and possibly getting routed up a bendy highway through the woods late at night afterwards. I’ll go to HP for shows but I have to like the band a LOT

Edit: dropped a t

I live 20 minutes from Hershey Park. Went there to have dinner with my family while Macklemore and Imagine Dragons were in concert a few weeks ago. Traffic was absolutely terrible getting in and out.

How did you know haha. MSG prices are insane and its actually better to take the 3 hour drive even with tolls, gas and hotel. But with everyone saying the parking is a mess Im on the fence

You cannot park at the Outlets unless you are shopping there. They watch.

Parking at the outlets is ill-advised. For free, effective parking, I parked downtown Hershey (residential area to be safe) and walked a mile to the Giant Center for the WWE show earlier in the year. By the time I got back to my car after the show, traffic died down and wasn't as stressful.

Parking is an absolute cluster fuck. I am baffled that their parking situation for concerts was even approved.

You have to park across the street (which is busy), and very far away. So you walk like a half mile to cross the road, but then that backs up because it’s a busy road and there’s so many people. Then you gotta walk to the entrance which is on the other side of the venue from the path lol.

Leaving is a mess as always. Exits aren’t marked well, not enough people controlling traffic, and they route some of the exits to windy back roads.

Despite that, it is a decent venue and cool spot to see a show. My recommendation is as follows:

  1. Get there early. You don’t need to be there hours in advance or anything, but at least try to get there like an hour before the show starts. Then you won’t be rushing to get in on time.

  2. Take note of where you parked. Use Google maps or one of those find my car apps. Pretty obvious tip, but it’s very easy to forget where you parked in a huge empty field, especially if you indulge in some party favors.

  3. Don’t wait until the show is actually over to leave. If the artist does an encore (which most do; just double check via setlist.com), leave when they start the encore or the last song of the encore. It’s usually the “big hit” anyways. That’ll give you enough time to get a head start and make it out before it gets backed up. And if you really want to see the encore, here’s a pro-tip for Hershey:

Leave when they start it, and then head back on the path towards the parking lot (you’ll know exactly what I mean when you walk to the venue). There’s a spot on the side there where you have a clear view of the stage and can hear great. You can watch the encore from there, and you still got a big enough head start to avoid the traffic jam.

I usually arrive at least an hour early, take my time getting back to our vehicle. Never really had a problem honestly

ALSO YMMV: I normally enter under the Ridge Road bridge from the Hershey side and while there are certainly backups really never have a problem. I don't use the main HersheyPark Drive at all.

You enter the parking area from behind the Giant Center. Then you follow the access road parallel to HP Drive until a guy directs you into a specific parking area. Look at google earth to see how it is arranged.
