If I'm not mistaken that is near Cherry Springs state park, which is dark, meaning no light pollution and advantageous to amateur astronomers.

I went there, it was nice. I stayed a few miles away in Lyman Run State Park. Beautiful area.

It's just not a picture of Coudersport. I don't know what town they posted but this isn't it.

Umm yes it is, I grew up in this area and I can promise you that is Coudy.

I grew up in the area too and I think you’re right. The sign in front of the church says “hollow” and there’s some kind of movie set lighting on the brick building in the back.

Breadisraw t1_isevu86 wrote

I think they are confusing that church with the courthouse, but the Coudy courthouse is taller and has a Lady Justice at the top, plus it sits at the front of the square.

The gazebo also says "Hollow"

There was a creepy house in Coudersport which looked very gothic, a real haunted mansion, but I think it was finally remodeled. I have not been there in years, but I took a lot of photos of that house.

Was it victorian style? I absolutely love victorian style houses.

Yes and they are showing the renovations on a FB page Old Hickory- F.W. Knox Villa. Wish they had more pictures.

They also have an Instagram and a blog where they post pictures, it's a huge project they took on and they are doing a fabulous job!

Hey this is is where I lived up until this January! I grew up in the area so Coudersport was one of the "bigger" towns to go to for shopping.

This isn’t Coudersport. Looks like a studio film set (see the spotlight on top the roof behind the church). Also, all the cars have California plates.

I can almost see the lovely jail besides the court house
