Hello! I live in Westmoreland county and I’m trying to think of some fun things to do that’s kid friendly (so, no bars, or painting with a twist, etc).

Our sure shot plan is to go to the mall, but we’ve done that a million times. I also know a few parks we can go to, but my friend has a broken arm right now and I’d rather not be in the cold.

Anything within 30 minutes of Greensburg area would help a ton!

edit: Thank you everybody!!

The Westmoreland Museum of Art in Greensburg is a hidden treasure. It has some incredible pieces in its collection .

Escape rooms at 60 minute missions, the cat cafe, local parks, local theatres (Greensburg Civic is putting on Annie in about a week!!). I'm not sure if Statlers is open this time of year, but they're always good for some air hockey.

These are great suggestions but no teenager anywhere ever is going to see a community theatre put on Annie haha

What a shame that this is your worldview. The magic of live theatre can be a treat for anyone young or old. My (teen) little sister loves theatre, especially musicals, and I take her to shows at local schools and community theatres whenever I can.

I know you're just trying to snark on the internet, but I really encourage you (and anyone reading) to try something outside your norm. Even if you don't like it, you'll still have grown as a person from the experience of branching out.

This is a weird series of assumptions to make in response to a comment about what teenagers generally enjoy but I guess you got to do your spiel.

my bad, instead of telling you to go to the theatre, I should have told you to log off and go touch some grass or whatever makes you less of a miserable pessimist.

If you can get into Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Museum, both the Art and the Science divisions, are world-class. The Carnegie International opened in September and is always full of strange and wonderful things. Any smart teenager will find something there.
