“Push this”. That’s a huge assumption.

I doubt this teacher was trying to push anyone to be different than who they are. I think the only thing she may have pushed was acceptance of people who don’t fit the binary norm. There are students in elementary school who don’t fit the binary - one of my relatives.

A lot of kids don't "fit the binary". Not all boys like football. Not all girls like to wear dresses or play with dolls. That doesn't mean that it's the right answer to tell elementary school kids that that their parents are wrong or lying, that they need to keep secrets from their parents, or to otherwise push the new definitions of "gender" that didn't exist until a couple years ago.

Kids have been physically assaulted and thrown out of their homes for admitting that they are gay. They've been sent to conversion camps. Sometimes, it's for the protection of the child that the parent not be informed about a child questioning their gender.

We're talking about first grade.

If a child's first person to confide in is their teacher, what do you think their home life is like? Obviously, they don't trust their parents. Do you think that it wouldn't happen to a young child?

You're making an assumption not provided by this story. Again, it will be interesting to see what facts are actually supported in court, but until we know, let's not just make up things to drive an agenda.

I don’t believe the teacher did that. These claims are more likely right wing extremists making noise as they like to do.

This is Fox News. Fox News has admitted they like to stir the pot with false info. Why? For ratings. For money. Divisive politics. Hatred. For money.
