A lot of research is rejected. Oz isn't the only doctor. I mean look at the work Fauci did during the AIDS and COVID pandemics. Oh wait you won't take the time to really look into all of that.

What about the part where Oz was banned from doing any research and presenting it because of how bad he was. Just gonna ignore that part? You know. The important part?

He’s a lot of things. Senator is not one of them. Keep this creep away from making laws. He’s a lying grifter doesn’t even live in Pennsylvania.

I really wonder, is there ANY news that could come out at this time that would make someone go "oh, yeah I'm gonna change my vote!"?

He's a carpetbagging quack scammer snake oil salesmen.

His only qualification for running is that he sucked up to trump and got an endorsement. He has no political experience at all. He's literally a Hollywood elite running off his TV fame. What a piece of shit.

He's a foreigner ffs. Has loyalties to a nation generally not considered to be friendly to the US.

That the race is going to be as close as it is is a goddamn travesty. How is this the guy republicans picked? Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Meanwhile his opponent is a Lifelong PA resident who was mayor of a town with all the problems that plague rust belt Pennsylvania. He knows how to help Pennsylvanians. He's seen our struggle firsthand.

Oz will 100% only work to enrich himself and line the pockets of his wealthy donor and rich business friends. That's not even a question. How anyone can vote for that hack is beyond me.

Vote Fetterman.

He's white. Who cares? I'm not racist. He has loyalties to an authoritarian dictatorship. That's a valid criticism.

You may be mistaking me for a feel good compromise on everything, political moderate performative outrage SJW liberal.

I'm working class, progressive with leftist views on social programs and tax allocation. Rural, pro labor. We're tough, but we can be tougher together.

Plus that sentence was in reference to how republicans (typically extra xenophobic) chose him over other candidates.

You mean like the 75% of research that's ignored and not peer reviewed or published? Gee maybe you should learn the very narrow statistics before responding on the topic

Thanks!

I couldn’t dive to deep into the wall street journal’s article because of the pay wall but was able to read the other one!

I really enjoyed the opinion based parts mixed with the fact based parts!

Making narratives for someone is so great! Let’s us make a story that fits our vision!

first of all he's from the US, so not a "foreigner" just because he has duel citizenship. second, if you're really a progressive, as an American you'll understand you're standing in a glass house trying to guilt him by association with the Turkish regime just because his family is from there.

The guy spent just as much time in the Turkish Army than Pennsylvania, (Moved to the state in late 2020 and spent two years in the Turkish Army.) it's a very valid point to not want that representing a state in the Federal Senate when he doesn't have the first clue what the state needs or wants...

generally don't care, especially if you're local. In PA you need to be a citizen to be a Principal in PA I believe. Absurd requirement for someone who's probably already been a teacher for 20 years.

But for Congress? Who's directly responsible for declaring war on other nations? Yeah... I probably care more. I also care more if it was canada versus turkey

The United States has an obsession with celebrities… The media shoves these people down our throats and make us look at them as super-humans. Go to any news outlet and see some pointless story on the front page about some rich/famous person just because their rich/famous. We do this to ourselves and until our society understands that celebrities are not Gods, we will be stuck in this mess. Not sure what we get from knowing so much about people who have no idea who we are, but it’s a huge problem.

A good portion of people will listen to a celebrity’s advice on fixing a toilet before listening to a plumbers advice.

the fact that he's a grifter with an nj mansion that doesn't give a fuck about pa is a completely different issue. ill shit on him all day for that.

just not here for people trying to paint their political opponents as treasonous foreigners against the US or some shit just because they have ties to countries with governments they have negative opinions about. person above tried to backtrack saying oz is a white guy, but it's still xenophobia. honestly the kind of shit you'd expect to hear from the maga people.

Didn’t realize Fauci was getting rich by selling sham medical solutions in TV. Oh wait. He wasn’t.

You’re comparing the worlds leading expert on epidemiology to a hollywood TV doctor who is selling shit and has over ten mansions. Only one of them is, and has always been, trying to enrich themselves.

Jsingles589 t1_iv3atoi wrote

There’s a difference between a highly skilled expert earning money by offering actually credible advice, and a tv snake oil salesman selling fake products.

Are you going to try and tell me vaccines aren’t real? Or that he invented them to make money?

You’re nuts.

Jsingles589 t1_iv3hidz wrote

No dude. You’re wrong. Trying to imply that you’re more well informed than everyone else here by posting links isn’t enough to convince everyone that you’re right.

You know absolutely nothing about how informed I may or may not be. You’re just trying to take the high ground on reddit. Clearly people don’t agree with you.

Friendly reminder that Erdogans bodyguards attacked American citizens on American soil during a visit to the White House during Trumps administration.

Erdogan is still the leader of Turkey to this day, and Oz has longstanding connections with him, as well as having served in the Turkish Army.

Thats like electing a known member of the KGB to Congress.
