Check to see if your homeowners policy covers your service lines. If not check to see if you can get added coverage for this. You may be able to cover all of your utility lines with your homeowners policy for a reasonable price.
I get mailers and inserts from my gas, water, sewer and power lines almost monthly. They are relentless.

I have a few policies with AWR and we’ve been very happy with the results. Their customer service is not the best, but, they have saved us thousands.

A rider isn't the same thing as a service agreement. There's no deductible or copay with a service agreement. And it won't impact your HO premium like it will if you make a claim with a rider

They are a horrible company to deal with-both for personal and business. I def had some bad experiences with them. And have found others with even worse experiences from around the US (they operate in a lot of states under similar names-just change out pa for another state) i wouldnt trust them for shit. Dont give them any more money than u have too!

I'd rather keep the $200 a year and pay for the repair myself. If it doesn't break for 30 years that's a lot of money to throw away.

This is something you can add to your home owners insurance for a lot less. I never bothered. Going to roll them dice instead.

Sometimes the HO policy will only cover the damage to your property not the line itself or any damage or sidewalks (in Philly esp you are responsible for your sidewalk.) I sold Allstate for years & they only covered the damage to your property (up to coverage limits) - only able to compare to Allstate prices, and I always found these types of policies provided better coverage for a better price (no deductible & no claim surcharge on HO policy.) It's like all insurance, you pay for it hoping you'll never have to use it, if you end up using it it pays for itself.
