You don't need anything, when you renew it'll have the class CM on it.

I know I can hold onto the yellow card till it’s time to renew, I just hate having a piece of paper in my wallet.my experience it deteriorates before it’s time for a new one. I want to just have everything on my actual license.

Regular license and yellow card should be all you need. You'll have to surrender the old license to get a new one, and there is a fee, I believe. The mechanism in place is to carry the endorsement card with the license until renewal. Not positive they'll even issue a new one for the reason you state, usually you would be replacing a damaged or lost/stolen one before expiration.

Just get a new license. It’ll automatically print with the M on it, and then you can just carry your license like normal.
