Who actually pays minimum wage these days? When I was job hunting, the jobs were starting out at $10/hr minimum.
I saw a few that were $8.25, but that’s still above minimum wage.
Gas is down compared to a few months ago, I average $3.49 a gallon where I’m at.

The problem is it depresses all wages when it's so low. Really really need to have our schools teach critical thinking as 50% of the public don't understand causality. Wonder to which political spectrum they lean towards.

This is very true. In my sector (healthcare) wages have been stagnant for years.

No it doesn’t. Competition for workers has driven wages way higher. It’s a totally irrelevant number because no one is actually paying that or making that.

It’s contempt for the people. A new business moved into town. People were excited as it historically paid more than minimum wage. I personally heard the head of Chamber of Commerce tell insiders. Oh you don’t have to pay that much in this town. He was bragging I guess.
