He should have been suspended after the 2nd arrest. Time for DOE to step in an pull his certification under the morals clause.

He should have been suspended the moment a judge found it necessary to issue a PFA against him.

Judges don't find them necessary. They are rubber stamped with no evidence whatsoever. This has been the case after several high profile domestic violence deaths in the commonwealth.

You truly do not know how PFA's work, do you?

Care to explain? Do you work in some capacity with pfas?

Your comment, above, is patently false.

That strikes me as the perfect statement in terms of PR / damage control.

What is it about some of these administrators?

Stress of the job leads to alcoholism, you only hear about it with these people because of the nature of their job.

Line cook at Applebee's gets DUI doesn't get headlines.

As an educator one DUI is too many, people lose jobs over that everyday. Now the more concerning fact is the 2nd arrest is from “protection from abuse order again.”

DUI is concerning, but 2 violations of a PFA is indefensible.

It is in the commonwealth they give them out like candy. Any female in the commonwealth can get a pfa on anyone even people they never met.

Yeah? And if you get a letter saying "stay away from this person" and you don't it's on you. Assuming any PFA is baseless because it's easy to get is maybe wrong sometimes.

Are you suggesting that a DUI means instant job loss for teachers? Lol. I don’t know many teachers but I know 3 that have got DUIs in the last 5 years.

I worked in a district where a principal got a DWI. He was removed from his position in the building and given a promotion to upper admin. He ended up as my supervisor, great admin, nice guy, just had problem with booze. Eventually he tripped up again and was asked to leave. Sad story, the teachers loved him, the kids loved him but he couldn't overcome his alcohol addiction.

I know this. A woman, likely his wife is actively trying to destroy him. Many Pennsylvanians don't know but it's really really easy to get a PFA you don't even need any evidence and most judges rubber stamp them to avoid being on the wrong side of the news. What happens when you receive a PFA you might ask. Well, your instantaneously made homeless and you instantaneously lose your kids. You instantaneously lose whoever is close to you making the PFA allegations. If you have firearms you instantaneously lose those as well. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! The person who initiated the PFA can contact you no problems however, if you contact them ONCE it's over to jail you go. I hope the best for this man and hope he doesn't lose his career because some piece of trash is trying to discard him via the oh so eager commonwealth justice system.
