Cool abandoned places? Yes.

Where? Literally all over PA from tiny local legends to well known spots.

Pick a locale...get better results.

The amusement park at Williams Grove (though I hear that's pretty well monitored for trespassers)

Yea it is because it's private property and still insured as such, regardless of the past theme park.

Don't trespass on private property. Even if questionable.

The old car shops in the Reading train yard are neat so is the locomotive shop on 6th but that isn’t completely abandoned. There’s lots of railroad infrastructure around the state that’s abandoned and neat to see you’ll find some gems in coal country too around old mine sights but honestly stay out of the mines (duh) they aren’t structurally sound some have been abandoned for 150 or more years. Eckely miners village near Hazelton is home to the set from the movie The Molly McGuires and it is still something in tact and accurate. If you want to experience a mine I’d suggest Landsford #9 or pioneer tunnel those are structurally safe guaranteed. Unfortunately the state decided to cover Graffiti Highway but frankly Centralia is unsafe too although the cemeteries and roads are still there. Hope this helps yes I’ve done some urbex before make sure wherever you explore is worth visiting and isn’t a death trap.

Coal country has lots of abandoned mines. Also, Cold Spring Township in northern Lebanon County is an abandoned resort town with a population of... zero?

I would STRONGLY not recommend going into abandoned coal mines, there are essentially infinite ways you can die in one

Centralia is a good one. Abandoned mining town. It's the town the series Silent Hill is based around.

Graffiti Highway. Abandoned Highway right next to Centralia. Covered in graffiti and (sadly) dirt mounds now as the government tries to get tourists away from the area.

Brynesville. Another ghost town that's actually right below Centralia. No one talks about it however, seems to be largely unknown. http://byrnesville.com/

Turnpike Tunnels. An old unused stretch of the old Pennsylvania Turnpike that you're able to walk/bike on. There's a few tunnels you can walk through also. I'm pretty sure you're also able to access the service areas in the tunnels although I never tried to due rust, moisture, and other disrepair.

These are just a few common areas that I know. If you're near philly then exploring exploring the abandoned piers along the delaware river is always fun.
