Like so much of Western PA,politics. Some guy who was somehow connected to the former state rep, the rep may have been his lawyer, I don’t remember all the details. He bought all these buildings because they thought river boat gambling was coming. It didn’t and he let it all fall apart. It’s sad because they have shot a lot of stuff there and there’s so much history to this town. It was supposed to be what Pittsburgh became.

Other way around. If you’ve ever been through downtown Brownsville, it never looks this good. Most of the buildings are literally falling down. They had to demolish a few recently because they were falling on the street.
