Hey!

Yes, I gave my insurance a police report.

I’m looking to trade in my car, do you think the stolen title will affect the value? The car was not in an accident, low miles, and a 2020.

Called a dealership in Newtown, they asked me if it was on the CarFax and I said probably not because it was just stolen/recovered, and he said it likely won’t affect the value since it was recovered quickly, mileage, year, etc.

What do you think?

The stolen record will affect the cars value if it shows on the Carfax, but it depends on the demand for your model to determine how much.

The car may be perfectly fine. However, the pool of customers for the vehicle has been reduced because of the record.

So since it's a riskier car to try to sell, you may be offered less.
