Just a heads up - the scumbag scammers are making calls telling people they’re from RI energy and they’re sending a tech to disconnect service and prompting the customer to ‘press 1 to make a payment now’

We just got this call, and our account is definitely not past due. I’m guessing they’re using the weather as a fear tactic.

My place of business gets those calls all the time. I just tell them to hang on one second while I pull up my account and ask them to read me the last 4 digits of my account number because I’m certainly up to date. Then I call them back from every phone line in the business to keep them from dialing out to anyone else.
