Maybe I just haven’t noticed in a while, but Route 6 eastbound has a state trooper that’s parked parallel to the highway rather than perpendicular like before. They sorta blend in with the barrier. They just flash you now and don’t even chase you.

Not sure who needed this but free information for y’all’s to look out for.

It’s safer for them to be parallel.

If a vehicle strikes them, they’ll strike the rear bumper of the cruiser instead of the side, greatly reducing the chances of there being injury to the Trooper.

They also have vehicle installed LiDAR and Doppler Radar which allows them to not have to aim directly at the vehicle they’re looking to measure.

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them more now. They used to be perpendicular so they were easier to spot but now they’re getting slicker.

Electronic enforcement is only effective until the next piece of technology is created to scam it. I wish they spent more time supporting DUI efforts of local departments and on 295.

Welp, people need to get on that to counter such measures.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was a female cop
