Maybe I just haven’t noticed in a while, but Route 6 eastbound has a state trooper that’s parked parallel to the highway rather than perpendicular like before. They sorta blend in with the barrier. They just flash you now and don’t even chase you.
Not sure who needed this but free information for y’all’s to look out for.

It’s safer for them to be parallel.
If a vehicle strikes them, they’ll strike the rear bumper of the cruiser instead of the side, greatly reducing the chances of there being injury to the Trooper.
They also have vehicle installed LiDAR and Doppler Radar which allows them to not have to aim directly at the vehicle they’re looking to measure.
