Bonus points if the ceremony can be had there.
Double bonus points if one of the counter dudes officiates it.
Gracie’s
New Rivers! Intimate and romantic and delicious
Seconded. Im a chef and their food is top notch. It’s a husband and wife operation, he’s won multiple James beard awards and she’s a sommelier I’m pretty sure. Amazing spot.
Haven Bros
As much as this is probably a joke, I feel like this would be great for my girlfriend and I. Pre-children we spent many a late drunken nights hanging out here when we first started dating. Their food isn’t the best, but it is at 3am. And it brings back a lot of good memories.
Half joking half serious, OP sounds like they want fine dining, but what you said could be true as well! Love me some 3am drunken haven bros
Castle Hill Inn, in case you’re south of Providence
Used to work there it’s gross, you’re just paying for the view
Go there multiple times every summer and my uncle lives right near there. The food is actually really good and high quality, idk what you’re talking about. Maybe they changed chefs or something but in the past 5-6 years it’s been consistently good, albeit a bit expensive
A restaurant kitchen being "gross" and the food tasting good are not mutually exclusive.
I mean you do you, if you like it I won’t sway you away from supporting tourism in my town
Go to the Nordic Lodge when they open and treat yourself.
We went to Capital Grill after we eloped and have been back every year for our anniversary.
You should be full from dining on each other, but Matunuck Oyster Bar is great.
I think you'd be happy with anywhere in the newport restaurant group. All of their places are great.
The Mooring sucks
So friggen true. I lived in Newport for years and it would never cross my mind to send someone there.
It’s overpriced bland Sysco food. Plenty of other places that have fresh seafood and actual good menus
I've never been there but I appreciate the heads up!
Los Andes is my call

The dining room at The Vanderbilt! Fancy and incredible food. On this side of the bridge, Vanda.
I brought some friends there for a double date and it was a hit!! Beautiful and classy spot!

Red Stripe is in regular Providence, though it is on the East Side. :-)
Plum point bistro
Los Andes, Figidini's, or take a drive down to Coast Guard House
Circe
Guisto.
The Cafe at the Chanler. It’s the first (or last, depending on how you look at it) mansion on the cliff walk in Newport, overlooking the water.
