Hi neighbors! My household just acquired a new vacuum cleaner and I was wondering if anyone know where I could recycle the old one? I was looking at e-waste recycling but I don’t think it qualifies. I’d ideally not like to add more plastic to the landfills if I can help it, thank you for any tips!

If it still works, consider gifting it in your local “buy nothing” group! Someone in your area could probably use it. :)

Indie Cycle will be at the Farm Fresh farmers market at 10 Sims Ave Providence, this Saturday 9-1

They are a local company that provides drop off sites for electronics and appliances.

I happened to be in the same position today and found this: http://atoz.rirrc.org/items/vacuums I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll try Best Buy. Has anyone tried recycling a vacuum at Best Buy around here? Edit: fixed link

I've recycled two at Best Buy, very easy, just walk them in!
