Looking for a chainsaw; new homeowner and lots and lots of limbs and bushes to cut trim. I don’t need a bone cutting, Jason Voorhees saw but I don’t want gardening shears with pink handles and a chord either. Thanks in advance.

Stihl MS 250. Great saw. Will last a lifetime, plenty of power for the average user but not too much. Great all around saw that’s easy to handle. Also would allow you to cut firewood if you ever need to.

Edit: battery options mentioned aren’t bad. I would stick with dewalt or makita if you go that route.

This is the one I have and I agree. It’s a great all-around chainsaw for any spring cleanup for a homeowner.

You might want to consider starting an Ego tool collection. Their chainsaw is pretty solid if you're not doing anything too heavy duty, and the fact all of the equipment shares the same batteries makes it attractive.

Sounds like a quality cordless model would work for you. Buy Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch or similar for longevity and product support if needed.

chainsaws are a must have if you want to tame the suroundind lands

for instance many years ago the property i lived on would often flood wen it raind, back into the house

the land was backd up against a swampy woods, so one spring im sick of the situation, i go out into the swamp to find the drain plug, some way to drain the swamp away from my property...i locate the lay of the land through the forest to drain the swamp

so i get my chainsaw and go out to the swamp woods and blaze a trail for the swamp water to drain....i do this for like a mile through the swamp forest..all the while watching with satisfaction the swamp fallowing my trail i cut....hey todays st patties day the swamp water fled like st patties snakes ......and that did the trick......never again.......ever since there is no swamp water problem at my house thanx to that sweet sweet chainsaw action in the swamp forest
