There was one on chalkstone Ave. Served pizza, etc. Right up after VA and Roger Williams hospital. Not sure of the name. Walked by it a few weeks back.

I remember the Columbus Theater in the '80s, when it was....naughty.

There's a documentary about that, basically by being an adult movie theater they could derive enough profit to pour back into the arts and maintaining the space.

Porn flix kept that place from being turned into a parking lot. Then the web killed porn theaters and the owner leased it to the people who run it now. Happy ending!

The castle cinema 🥲 I saw a lot of Disney movies there in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Loved that place

The Castle was awesome back in the day. However, once they started serving food etc, it went downhill fast.

For a brief shining moment The Castle paired with Crazy Burger to serve the food there.

Yes the castle, I used to live right up the street. I loved seeing movies upstairs in the puppet theater, you could get away with anything up there 🙄 It was cool how they opened the curtains up before the movie started..,

Are there any other similarly cool theaters around still? I went to the cable car a few years ago, but I believe they have closed down as well

Do you mean Cable Car Cinema?

The Cable Car Cinema was on South Main Street. It had couches / love seats.

I believe the OP is talking about Castle Cinema that was on Chalkstone Ave. I went there several times but I don't remember them serving food to your seat.
