$1.9m... smh. colleges are a sports business with a higher education side hustle.

It was only a matter of time. You can't build the resume he has and not expect him to take advantage of the opportunities that result. Cooley has more than earned this promotion. Best of luck coach...except for twice a year when you play the Friars.

Cooley came into a restaurant I worked at after a PC win. Brought 9 family members with him, so party of 10.

First round of drinks were comped and a few complimentary apps sent to the table. Complimentary desert with “Congrats Coach! Let’s go Friars!” written on it.

Dude and his family got A1 treatment. This man left $55 on a $300 tab that should have been closer to $500 before comps. He came in a few more times after games and I straight out refused to help anyone do anything extra for him.

I’m not even a PC fan, so this man never did a thing for me. See ya ✌🏼

Chelo’s? Please tell me it was Chelo’s! He was my only RI celebrity run in besides nearly walking into Allen Fung at the Scituate art festival. Cooley was on a flight to DC (ha!) and was nice to the few of us that recognized him that early in the morning.

At least he didn't leave loose coins as part of a 10 percent tip at a restaurant that also gave him A1 treatment.

He always left 10% every time he came in after that. Are you saying he did this to you too?

So much for PC being Cooley's dream job.

A dream job is a dream job until someone comes along and offers you a lot more money to do that job somewhere else.

Damn this really sucks. He’s been great for the program and it’s even better he was from here. I don’t see a single candidate they could find that would satisfy replacing him. But you could tell by his quotes in the media he was already planning on leaving for some time, did not deny anything

Now will Rick Pitino choose St John’s or Providence

He has said he doesn’t want to move from New York but he has also said in the past that he never should have left PC.

He also said he’d finish his career at Iona

Yeah, he also held a presser during the Knicks pursuit of him and said he was staying at Providence...until a couple of days later when he was gone. Fuck Rick Pitino.

That's the ugliest mcmansion I've seen in a while haha. That kitchen is so HGTV open plan huge it needed two islands big enough for Anker to ship to! The bathtub room is a riot- East Greenwich has some lovely houses, but this is not one of them!

It’s the double staircase for me. Is one side for going up and one side for going down? 🤣 Seems like a bit much for the space.

The stairs are a riot, and how about those entrance columns holding up an impossible balcony haha! ouch! It's so, so bad. The peloton room is on point though, just like the ads lol

Terrible news if true. He's done great things for the program. If he held out longer, they probably would've made it somewhere. We all loved him at PC--he was one of our biggest faces and best representatives. But he's more than earned the right to follow his best interests. Wishing him the best!
