They usually open first week of April.

Source: I've personally lived behind the Dels headquarters in the neighborhood I live in currently since I was born. They always open first week of spring, usually the first Friday.

And my body is also ready.

Agreed. Worked for Del’s and it was always around the first of April. If you’re lucky and it’s been unseasonably warm, one might open up sooner but they rarely do if we’re not flirting with the 60’s

You must have read my mind, I had one this past weekend in Fort Myers, FL. I was pleasantly surprised I stumbled onto it.

as a californian that often goes to rhode island to see family, I believe dels could have a great business if they expanded to the west coast, especially SoCal. hot day on the beach requires a dels

there was one at red sox spring training when I went in 2016 and I was over the moon since I didn't live in RI at the time!

I was there last week actually, and I saw Dels at the Red Sox spring training game, I was surprised to see it!

Absolutely lol, it’s a Rhode Island thing. Can’t wait for Sundaes to open in Cranston too.

Where is that? I’ve lived in RI my entire life and I swear I’ve never heard of them.

boulevardofdef t1_jd7moi5 wrote

They have physical locations in Smith Hill in Providence and Oakland Beach in Warwick (though that one isn't listed on their website, so I don't know if it's open anymore). But I know them better for their trucks, which always seem to be there when what you really want is a Del's. They're just not as good, not sweet enough, slushiness isn't right, no chunks of lemon.

GotenRocko t1_jd5jhrv wrote

Yes, just wish they had more locations haha. My brother used to live down the street from them, would grab some everytime I visited. So good but just never in the area much so don't go often anymore.
