Following with interest from the northern part of the state. I need to order a 1/2 cord and don’t know who to call.

Curious if you can get a half cord. I think the supplier my parents had said he wouldn’t deliver less than two cords. That’s like, five years worth of wood for them, so they were like, forget it, we’re not going to burn anymore.

Warwick Tree Company will fill your car/truck for $50. The wood is decent and they’re very generous

I’d be curious to see what others are paying. I’m paying more than I like at $300 a cord in south county but it’s beautiful seasoned barkless oak.

Verrier Tree Services is in West Greenwich.

They have kilned dried wood and it is great. Just know that they are very busy this time of year. Good luck!

I'm willing to bet you are not finding actual seasoned wood this late in the year unless it's kiln dried. They will say seasoned if it was in log form then cut and split 1-2 months ago. Wood doesn't actually season until it's split. And should be stacked off the ground. You can always split a fresh piece and check with a moisture meter. 20% or less is what your looking for to have a good, clean, hot burn.
