Hi! I’m going to be staying in providence for a wedding. I’m staying at my cousins apartment but he won’t have space in his driveway. Can I park on the street? Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help!
have them apply for a guest parking permit. it's $25 and allows someone to park up to 5x per month

No problem, there was a time you could call the Providence police and let them know you were parking overnight.
I would risk the ticket, good chance you won't get one especially if it isn't a high traffic road/area.
I basically agree with the above commentor. I used to stay at friends houses in Providence regularly and they didn't have parking so I'd park on the street. As long as it's not a busy street/a main road and you watch out for signs (such as no parking here to corner or tow zone) then you'd most likely be okay and not have any issue. In the hundreds of times I've done it I only got a ticket once and it was because I didn't pay attention and missed the sign where I was. That spot apparently had a sign saying that at a certain time it became no parking but usually other cars would leave and you could move it. I didn't realize I was in one of those sections. 🤷♀️
Awesome thank you
Technically no street parking is allowed, but I park on the street every day and overnight. If their house is on a side road/ not a main road… you should be good for just one night. Worst case scenario, $20-$25 ticket.
They need to have their own permit first. I was gonna suggest this but read the permit rules and assumed because they said their friend had a driveway they wouldn't have a permit.
No overnight (2am-5am) street parking without a permit.

There is no overnight parking in Providence, worst you should get is an overnight parking ticket. Just make sure it isn't a tow zone or anything. Might be fine and not get a ticket at all depends if they are on that street that night.
I would worry more about it getting hit or broken into depending on the neighborhood. Providence is fairly safe, but there is always the possibility.
